How it works

1.	HCS partners with Federal Express to offer personalized shipping services.
2.	We *strongly* encourage riders to make their reservations online. HCS will then contact you to confirm shipping.
3.	Plastic shipping labels will be sent to your home or place of work. View your state’s ship-by dates on the map below.
4.	HCS will arrange for pickup of your bike from your home, work, or bike shop. Bikes can also be dropped at a local Fed-Ex ship center.
5.	HCS will confirm the pickup and track the shipment to insure its on-time arrival.
6.	Upon arrival of your shipment at Bicycle World we will inform you via email.
7.	After the New Orleans Ironman HCS ships your bike home from Bicycle World.
8.	If loss or damage occurs during shipping, HCS becomes your advocate. We initiate the claim, fill out the forms, and see the process through to resolution.

Pricing and Transit Dates

The set prices below are based on a bike box that weighs up to 60lbs, with a dimensional size of up to 130, and that is insured for $1,000 (additional insurance is available at $1 per $100 in value).

Bike Packing Recommendations:

	We strongly recommend taking your bike to your local bicycle shop and having it professionally packed. There are many horror stories about bikes packed at a shipping stores. If it's packed at a bicycle shop there will be much less risk of damage, and you can rest assured that you will not encounter additional assembly charges related to improper disassembly or packing.
	When packing your bike remember TAPE LINES! Mark your seat post height, handle bar and aero bar position with tape. This will insure proper positioning and fit.
	Bikes must be received between Monday April 5th and Friday April 9th. When you make the reservation with High Country Shipping we will send an e-mail confirming your bike pickup day. The longer you wait to make a reservation, the earlier your bike will need to arrive in New Orleans.
